This is the only surviving gate in the wall that was built around the ancient city of Mahon in Minorca in the 14th century.

We were here today walking it’s beautiful Georgian Streets built during the period it was occupied by the British .

Mahon was made Minorca’s capital because of its harbour, reputed to be the best in the Mediterranean.
