This boy

We are still getting the family of deer coming to the corn feeder but usually it is very early just a daylight or late evening with very little light so I can't really get a good photo out the window.  

Today, we had five come in the yard at noon!    Three bucks and two does.  We know there is another buck somewhere.  We also know that something has happened to the fawn that we had seen a couple of months ago.   We only saw it that one time and nothing since.   Sad about that.   There is an older doe..probably the momma of the fawn and then the younger smaller doe.   Hoping both will become mommas next spring to keep this herd going.   There are enough daddies but I guess there will be incest going on here to make babies!   I am sure these are all local deer from this herd (probably the does is the momma!) unless there is a traveling salesman in the vicinity!  

This big boy was keeping a lookout and posing very nicely for me to get all his good sides in several portraits.  

Last week coming up with the cast on the broken ankle.  It is going to be a long week but we have a couple outings planned to break it up.  One is going to get me to the library to get some real books.  Tired of reading on the tablet; got to feel that paper and smell the books!      Grocery store too.   Then one day we are going out to lunch at the Red Shed which is an hours drive away in a small town.    Much needed change of scenery.  We may take some backroads instead of the direct route.   I need to check my map.

Hope the weekend has been good to everyone!    Not quite as hot here so I sat outside this morning for over an hour on the back porch swing.  Almost felt like fall...nah...just kidding!
