Blue Mountain Icons 22
Today's icon is Pulpit Rock near Blackheath in the Grose Valley. The actual rock (so named) is the lower structure toward the centre of the frame but if you look carefully toward the top left you may be able to see the "Pulpit Rock Lookout" which is a series of vantage points above the rock itself from which you can look back toward where I am standing at Govetts Leap Lookout. Iron stairways lead one down and down until the lowest and scariest lookout may be reached. In the linked picture, the background is black because that part of the valley was in late afternoon shadow - which makes it all still scarier.
