My Great Grandmother

My mum showed me this gorgeous photo today of my great grandmother (her mother’s mother). She was born about 1880 so this photo would have been taken circa. 1900.

I was born on her birthday, although never met her. When I was 18 years old, my Nan gave me a signet ring made from the gold of her wedding ring. I treasure it.

My mum bears a striking resemblance to her. Beautiful.
