Day 7 Western Islay distilleries
It‘s always nice to spend 2 nights somewhere when you’re on tour, and Bridgend seemed to be a good place for this. It was a blue sky morning, but my goodness the wind was blowing! Gusting to 35mph, great when it’s behind you, not so great from ahead.
First we went to Bowmore, then out West to Bruichladdich, and up and over the hill to Kilchoman. At Kilchoman we had lunch at the cafe, then did the distillery tour. Machir Beach was close, and we had a walk before returning to Bridgend.
Noticing the Islay Hose and Gardens, we went for a drink there, what a beautiful Restaurant and bar, so we decided to have dinner there.
53 km, 350 m ascent
