MonoMonday288....There's an OVERLAY......

......of fear in that forced smile on this, my very first 'school photo' (taken 1955). Why you ask? Because rumours were rife amongst we tiny tots that the photograph would somehow detect whether we were suffering from TB, in which case we'd immediately be whisked off to serve time in a sanatorium.....the poor, unsuspecting photographer had his work cut out that day ;-)
