Well, we didn't make it to Ireland.  They closed the Atlanta airport for one hour (thunderstorms) and we missed the connecting flight to Shannon.  As it turns out, we would not have made another flight for 48 hours, and miss the special tours in southern Ireland.  So we came home.

Three days later, our luggage showed up (they were in Los Angeles...go figure)...and we are still fighting for reimbursement.  It seems that acts of god are not refundable.  My advice...don't travel in the summer (too busy).
