Lady Helen

We went into Helensburgh this morning to hand in the marriage schedule to the Registrar's office. Then a wander along the prom (in the rain) to Kidston Park where we had some lunch. The wander back was thankfully rain free.

On the way home, we had an encounter with the new Prime Minister!
At the roundabout joining the A82, we were stopped from going round by a police motorcyclist. A couple of minutes later the entourage sped past; he was obviously on his way back from Faslane, and I see he headed to Edinburgh later on.

The sculpture in the photograph is of Lady Helen, after whom the town is named. It is on the exterior wall of the new part of the Civic Centre - the former Clyde Street School was restored/transformed 4 years ago.
