After the Rain

The rain came in this afternoon, it was quite heavy but didn't last very long. 

I got involved in various computer related things this morning. My old windows desktop has been sitting around since it was replaced but I decided to take out the hard drives so I can take it to the tip. The next job was to replace a hard drive which had failed in my backup array. Because this is in a 'Raid 5' configuration it means that a disk can fail and no data is lost. I took the disk out and replaced it with another and the array rebuilt itself so that all four disks are storing the data again.

When the rain had blown through, I went out for my blip. I went up to Little Haldon heath. I parked somewhere different from where I usually park and slipped through some woodland to where the heath starts. From there I got this line of trees ahead of me. I like the clear sky with low level clouds that so often comes after a rain storm. I think we'll get some more rain tomorrow.
