Steppe Eagle
Now that schools have broken up, and my work is all at a desk, I can attend other things around the estate. Today, I went on a staff falconry experience, where we had a tour of the birds, and learnt lots about them. The eagle above is one of the fastest animals on the planet, reaching speeds of 180 miles per hour. One of the owls has such sensitive hearing, it can hear the heartbeat of a vole in the undergrowth and locate it by sound alone!
A couple of extras, one of Mozart the Eagle Owl, and myself flying Owlfie.
