A scarlet flowered pelargonium
I bought this plant back in the early spring when it was in a nursery selling many other varieties and colours. It was small then. I liked its rather unusual scarlet flowers and fell in love with it. Having repotted it into a bigger container it has had second wind and these new clusters are forming in large numbers and rapidly. I think it likes being in the open with good water supply and potted into a mix of rich compost and John Innes soil sited on the steps outside the dining room. The south facing aspect suits it perfectly.
