The Crush Of July

As the summer days are growing longer, so is my list of things to do around the house. The crush of July is weighing on me. There’s a heaviness in the air that’s sapping me of my energy. So it is in my years, that it’s become an indoor season. Such being the case, my studio sessions are on the rise, as my landscape sessions are in demise. Lord, today is the day that you have made and I am rejoicing in the air-conditioning. I am rejoicing in the shelter of my home. I am rejoicing in the solitude of my studio. I am rejoicing in the love of family.
