Calm Waters

What a lovely day January 1st 2013 was!

Blue skies, warm sunshine and beautiful colours as the sun dropped.

After an amazing New Year's Day breakfast, our friends set off to see The Hobbit and we packed the dogs and kids in the car and set off for the beach.

The boys played beach rugby with their dad, Niamh splashed about happily at the water's edge and I tried out the new lens.

Got some nice shots I was very pleased with of waders coming in to roost but my Blip today is of Angus looking thoughtful on the pier. Some of my favourite things in one image...the sea, poles sticking up out of said sea, late afternoon Winter sunshine and associated colours, a pier and my husband!
