Ash tree
backblip. A while ago the rangers on Cuerden Valley Park cleared a huge area of shrubby trees to open up the views across part of the park as part of a HLF supported restoration project. They bizzzarely left this solitary ash tree that now stands sentinel in a middle of a herb rich meadow that is great for butterflies in the summer (if we get one). Just hope that it doesn't succumb to the ash die back disease.
