Secret, Secret Cove And Port Agios Nikolaos
Mr M and I got up early today for a pre-breakfast swim. Our host John then bought us coffee by the pool which was very welcome.
We had another leisurely breakfast under the grape vine and then more time spent relaxing by the pool and swimming.
In the afternoon Jo and John took us to a tiny cove which they nicknamed Secret, Secret Cove because it’s completely off the beaten track and no one else seems to know it’s there. We walked down a steep path to get there and Jo and Master M canoed round from the port. The cove was tiny and beautiful with the most clear water we have seen all holiday. We swam into some amazing tiny caves where the water was electric blue in colour and took turns in the canoe. Fabulous.
On the way back we stopped off at Port Agios Nikolaos for coffee and pastries. Mine had custard and pineapple in it and was delicious. The view from our waterside table was very pretty. I love seeing all the boats in the harbour.
The evening was spent eating on the veranda, talking, playing games and watching a film.
We’re having a great holiday and enjoying doing so many things we could never do at home.
