Knaresborough

A bit of an unexpected trip to the Mini garage in Harrogate this morning. During the biggest electrical storm yesterday afternoon (probably coincidence) the electronics in the central console of the car started rebooting every 15-20 seconds. Very annoying. Poor L was most perturbed by it as it meant we couldn’t play any of her audiobooks in the car. We decided that it would be a very long journey back to Kent on Monday without any music or stories (not to mention the flashing lights on the console as it rebooted 3-4 times per minute) so we asked Mini to take a look at it. Two hours later we had new software and all is well and our wallets were a lot lighter. Happy L... straight back to requesting her Paddington audiobook.

After this we went to N’s parents where his mum had laid on a lovely buffet lunch. We checked the weather forecast and headed into Knaresborough for a breath of air and a cuppa at a café. We also got drenched in an unforecast rainstorm.
