Practice

We had been hearing the skirl of pipes for an hour or so before we made it to the Highland Games at Arisaig; I was most impressed that there were so many pipers but then I realised that there was a competition under way and that several pipers were practising within earshot, including this chap up the hill, near the cars.

The extras: a piper playing to a judge; and a hammer thrower practising, nearly with full kilt swirl.
