Wouldn't like to Live at the Top!

I was quite taken with this steep row of houses in Colne, leading up to the church at the top of the hill.
In the Yorkshire Dales, there are many such streets - row upon row of them - following the contours of the ancient land. 
They must be treacherous in ice and snow, especially for the elderly.
Today the thunder clouds were gathering and a short while after this photo there was torrential rain. There have been a lot of floods and landslides in North Yorks over the last 48 hours; horrible for those.affected.
We have been lucky in Hellifield.
