My First Sunrise of 2013

This morning just after Mr A had gone to the surgery for his blood tests I looked out of the kitchen window and saw this. I grabbed my camera and dashed outside. I came in again and then the sky changed so I went out and took some more.

This is straight out of the camera and is the first one I took. The second time I went out, only about five minutes later, the sky was a deeper orange, but had lost its purple look. The other one can be seen on my Flickr account and is also straight out of the camera.

Strangely while I was outside the second time, my daughter sent me a text to say there was a lovely sunrise if I was quick. As I had not replied, as I came in through the back door she was ringing me.

For comparison you can see Hillview's blip here which was taken from her house looking towards the East, while mine was take from my garden looking towards the South-East.

Sadly not long after this it was raining again, but as I am working today it is not causing me any problems.
