Moat Brae
We were taken to Moat Brae in Dumfries this afternoon which was a major insipiration for J M Barrie to write 'Peter Pan'. The house was saved from demolition by a matter of days and the money was raised not only to preserve the fabric of the building but turn it into Scotland's Centre for Children's Literature. The mural above is in one of the story telling rooms.
There are various rooms with a J M Barrie/Peter Pan theme and the effect is that you WILL believe in fairies and the trail in the garden there will be Pirates and Crocodiles
