A Day with Dragons
I decided earlier in the week that I needed a day to myself.
A full day, it seems, was too long but I managed to get a few hours at Stover Country Park. I don't think Ive visited here for several months, since the start of the bird breeding season.
I didn't leave home as early as I had wanted but as soon as I walked into the park I saw the man of my dreams, dressed in azure blue and orange. Sadly he was far too jumpy and despite several hours of searching, he avoided me.
It was starting to heat up and there were a lot of dragonflies around so I decided to try my luck at getting a flying Emperor. Several hours later, with aching arms and a head that felt like it was going to explode, I gave up.
The Broad-bodied Chasers though were more accommodating and I even managed both a male and female(in extras) in flight.
I will be going back as soon as I can negotiate a few hours away from the dogs.
Egg News: Lucy has laid her 2nd. I fully expect at least one more!
