1st of August national day in Switzerland. Those who want get together, local politicians bore citizens with speeches and sausages and mustard are often sponsored. The bands play and the singing of the national anthem requires the handing out of the text in the language of the region.
There is no escape from the fireworks noise though, so one might as well participate, get to know a few more people living in the region and be joyful about living in such a lovely place.
