Riverside...

First stop today was at our optician in Kensington. Problem quickly sorted. Then after a snack lunch in Holland Park, we walked to Earls Court underground station and caught a train to Richmond, the end of the line.

Our plan was to take a boat trip to Westminster. We’d done this last year on a much cooler day. Today was perfect with very little breeze on the upper deck. Lots to see of familiar landmarks and new developments. My photo is the riverside view of the Rick Stein restaurant we visited on my birthday earlier this year. A lovely venue. We first knew it as The Depot restaurant which had changed use from the Borough of Barnes building maintenance depot, the borough in which D began his career in local government.

The trip ended at Westminster Pier opposite the London Eye. An easy journey to Victoria Station and home. The British Pullman was just offloading guests at Victoria as we arrived. A trip on my wish list!
