The Repair Shop
Very long day on U3A outing to visit the Weald and Downland Museum in Sussex.
They were filming so this was as close as I could get to blip the actual shop. Fabulous day in perfect weather. 51 buildings to view (didn't get to them all). All originals which had been demolished and reconstructed on site from Medieval times onwards. Only let down was a chaotic cafe - we all agreed we could have organised it better in just half an hour!
Extra shows one of the working horses which took me back to my childhood when I was given a 'treat' to sit on the back of one returning from haymaking. Made me frightened of horses for the rest of my life. Have to say that there was a very fit handsome farrier at work which brightened the day!
M25 in the rush hour was not so pleasant and we were an hour late getting back.
