I’ve got a Silver Machine

Lots of highlights to the first day at Belladrum but meeting Hawkwind has to be one of the best.
The band are on their 50th anniversary tour and had a Q&A session - some weird and wonderful questions - after which they were kind enough to pose for a photo. Their set was brilliant and we managed to be 2 people from the front - very civilised crowd as I had space to hop around. They finished the set with what else but Silver Machine.

Rain stopped at lunchtime but it made for s muddy field so many vans were towed in by the tractors they had on standby. We were able to drive onto our pitch, phew!

Met up with our friends and gave them the tour of the arena before we split up to see different bands. Yesterday we saw Torridon (Scottish themed rock), heard some of Dodgy (90s band?), a swing band and of course Hawkwind. Tom Odell and Elbow were playing on the main stage but missed them.
Internet gets overloaded quickly so may not be able to comment on journals till I get home on Sunday.
