Monique had a stroke a few months ago. She's recovered well from it, but she's at risk of having more of them because her carotid artery is blocked so she's going to have an operation to scrub the artery from whatever plaque has deposited there.

She's witty, clearly she's recuperated well from whatever damage the stroke had initially done to her brains. :-D That's what the neuropsychologist told her today.
