Issues

Actually got up and got it together and got out the house by lunchtime! A pretty sweet 55 miles, a familiar route, The Meldons Thing, a ride where the weather got warmer and sunnier the longer it went on.

Into town in the evening to meet up with an old university pal (I actually lived with Pete and three others in a house in Newington Road, Sheffield - shout out to Hunter's Bar! - in my final year, 1990) who was here for one night only. Time to catch a cheap/preview show then before the alloted meeting time...except all sorts of ticketing issues meant that things were sold out or generally unavailable or had already started by the time we got to the front of queues and we ended up seeing nowt. Although we did get tickets for summat on Friday night instead (even then summat we wanted to see only had 1 ticket left instead of the 2 we were after, you couldn't make it up....) so we get to repeat the whole festival experience again tomorrow.

And we did get to meet up with Pete somewhere on the southside to drink beer and catch-up, before he went his way and we went ours.
