Flower Friday...Thyme

At last!!  I have managed to capture a butterfly, a Gatekeeper I believe, fluttering in and around the thyme flowers. The first time I have seen this species in my garden, so I'm very pleased......thanks to Bikerbear for hosting :)
The deed is done!! I have submitted my formal application for the tenancy of the end terrace next door. A friend called round today for a cuppa and chat, looked the place over with me while the plumber was working there, and confirmed my feelings that it was the right decision. Now it's a waiting game until the closing date 12th August and longer probably, for the trustees to make their decision!!  Fingers crossed.
It's been a beautiful sunny afternoon, but I have been thinking of those  people in the Peak District who have been evacuated because of the risking of a dam breaking, due to excessive rain in that area. Hope the dam can be repaired swiftly and safely, and they are able to return to their homes very soon...........
