Out Of The Wind
Tucked away low down in the meadow the coneflower was quite still, whilst its taller neighbours blew around vigorously in the breezy evening air.
I waited until the foreground flowers were still enough that they didn't block the view to the coneflower and let the shallow depth of field render them out of focus.
I like the contrast created by the flowers in dappled sunlight against the dark green foliage behind. There is also colour contrast between the purple and yellow flowers.
I think maybe I should have taken more care with framing to get the flower on the left in or out of the image. But perhaps the wind mitigates my slight transgression.
