Bright lights and bright colours

Today, I wanted to see how my pictures would turn out if I used a flash. I only have my camera's built-in flash and I haven't gotten around to making any kind of diffuser the way I've seen a few sites mentioning... but I rather liked how vivid it made the colours. It definitely didn't look this nice and bright when I was taking photos of the same bud without the flash.

Hm... this calls for some more experimenting.

This isn't even what I was intending to go out and take a picture of today. I might attempt taking a photo of the other thing again tomorrow and hopefully they'll turn out this time. I just turned my camera to this bud because it was hairy and looked amusing.
