A Grand Day Out

What a lovely day to have a blipmeet in the Lakes!  Linda and I went along to join about 15 blippers at Mae's Tearoom in Uldale in the northern lakes.  Uldale is a small hamlet off the beaten track and yet Mae's tearoom was filled with both our group and another group of about 15.  They coped admirably with all their visitors.  As a lakeland newbie it was great to meet some of the long established blippers from this area.  We also discovered that a haematite necklace that I bought for Linda way back in the mid 1990s while on holiday in the Lakes was bought from Clickychick's shop when it was located at Whitbarrow.

The picture above shows the north side of Skiddaw from near the tearoom and the extra was taken at Bassenthwaite Lake on our return journey.
