Teasel
We've noticed that the flowers on a head of teasel often bloom in a sort of halo. But in this case, I saw that our teasel has formed a double halo.
We're really pleased with the way our garden is developing. It is alive with butterflies, especially gatekeepers at the moment, flitting around the meadow and the pond. We also see lots of little birds on the feeders. And almost every time I go looking, I find yet another new creature. Today it was a speckled bush cricket (in extras) - I was able to identify this very quickly thanks to JDO, who blipped one last year.
