Thursday: Simon

Simon is a travel writer and journalist who I started following on Instagram after I came across his photos in Lonely Planet. He followed me back and that was that. But it turned out recently that he is actually friends with my good friend, Steve, so having established that, we met up while he was in town for a photo project.

He was great company and we had a very good time. He's just finished three weeks in southern US and Alberta, and has now headed up to Haida Gwaii - coincidentally doing the same tour we just did.

I said that he must have the best job in the world. He said it was indeed fantastic and he loved it but after four weeks of saying 'Dinner for one' it did have its downsides.
