Out with the old

So, a long lie but still managed a fairly fruitfull day of clearing-up. Took all the Christmas decorations down and enjoyed an hour or so of cutting back the tree and burning it on the fire pit. These evergreen conifers burn beautifully, bursting into flames and giving off the most delicious aroma. I was very stinky afterwards, mind you.

Lovely, surprise afternoon visit from friend, her daughter and grandchildren whom I have not seen in ages.
