The Hoad

On my way back from a meeting in Barrow, I stopped off in Ulverston for a quick walk (and it was surprisingly quick) up The Hoad aka. The Sir John Barrow Monument.

I’d been meaning to take a wander up there for years and finally did it. It’s an interesting 360 panorama as you look out over the hills towards the lakes and then moving round, the view is out over the sea (to Blackpool Tower on a clear day) and then just before coming back to where the rotation began, there’s the view over Ulverston itself as seen here.

I took a sneaky snap of these two people on the bench and then thought I would try a bit of fiddlin’ with the photo in the colour splash app.

Quite pleased with the results!
