There and back again

Middleworth Lane, Dartmoor

If you love to explore Dartmoor, you soon discover the many ancient track ways that lead to some of the remote areas of the moor. One of my favorites is the Middleworth Lane that leads from the eastern end of Burrator Reservoir into the south moor. The walls of this lane are covered with green moss and ferns and the age of the original lane can be gauged by the remains of the farm at Deancombe which lay along the lane and was was first recorded here in the 1300's.

It was here where Jinxy and I had out afternoon walk today. The weather was misty but mild and I ended up with too many contenders of my blip for today so I will try to put a few on my Blipfolio under "Burrator.
