Happy Find!

Walking about with Dot (Dd at home report-writing), we stumbled across Casa Vicens, the first house Gaudí ever designed and in many ways his 'manifesto' house. He was an unknown architect when he received the commission from a youthful Señor Vicens . . . we have a lot to thank this first patron for!

It was only opened as a museum in 2017, so I don't feel too bad not having seen it before! Well worth a detour next time you are in Barcelona.

Do have a look at the nice extra with the delightful Japanese-inspired verandah.

Now out to dinner up in Sarria at the old Vell Sarria, now Boconi's
