Balmoor

An early start today. Took a bus to Falkirk and then joined a supporters' bus for the trip up to Balmoor Stadium in Peterhead for Falkirk's first league game of the new season.

The match preliminaries included the presentation of last year's League 2 Trophy to the home side and the unfurling of the championship flag, all watched over by the club mascot (pictured).

The match itself was a close affair, with Falkirk's early promise failing to materialise into a goal and an evenly-matched second-half also ending goalless.

However, before today there were four Scottish senior grounds that I had yet to visit, now there are three. Might just have been the highlight of the day!
