Post industrial landscape

Often have a drive out to Nenthead for a walk up the hills, never around the village itself but today we did. The village was actually quite nice and the new coffee shop very good. But what I love about this area is the old lead mines and the tracks that can take you for miles into the hills. Saturday afternoon in August and the car park was empty, such a shame as it is a lovely area and although very popular with cyclists not so with walkers or tourists in general.
