Switzerland "en Fête".
In the mountains, the farmers have a celebration called Mi-Été (midsummer). Today this was especially important in the tiny village of Taveyanne as it was the 150th birthday of Mi-Été there. You can see the village to the right of the middle of the photo. We went to hear one of our local choirs and just chill out soaking up the general Swiss atmosphere: cow bells, accordion bands, bell ringers (see extra), visiting a friend's 350 year old chalet, drinking wine and eating chips, so healthy!
Now we are home it is difficult to keep our eyes open but David has to. He is building a boat in the driveway (don't ask, I shall blip progress soon)! By enjoying the Mi-Été he has lost a potential building day when he could have been working. Tomorrow is Sunday and in Switzerland you can't make a noise!
