William and the Guard

William's Mum and Dad were off to a wedding today. No kids allowed. So William came to us for the afternoon.

Seeing as he's train mad, I whisked him off to the Great Central Railway for a ride on a really useful Tank Engine. It was the first time he'd seen steam trains.

We had a lovely time. The guard at Quorn Station offered to pose with William.

And tonight, Basil sniffed out two hedgehogs over by the fuschia bush. Wonderful to think they have made their way into our garden again.
