Homegrown Hummer

When I see hummers on my feeder, I feel like they are my personal birds.  I spoil them, planting their favorite flowers and providing a steady supply of nectar. When we were away for two weeks, I paid a college student friend to come over every other day to refill the feeder.  She also watered the shrubs but the hummingbirds were my top priority.  So the least they could do is let me get a decent photo :)  I know they tried - they made several trips to the feeder and performed aerobatic maneuvers as I stared through the lens.  This was the best I could do with the limited time I had today.  It was shot against the gray brick wall background.  They'll be around for awhile, so I'll have a chance to give it another try.
