Peace

After a hectic week and a half we finally had a day at a slower pace today to visit the children's favourite place to eat and then a much needed 'cost-free' trip to the library.

Outside the library is this piece of artwork in wood called The Journey, showing the coffin of Saint Cuthbert of Lindisfarne being carried by 6 monks, eventually coming to rest in peace on the site of the future Durham Cathedral, after a brief (100 years!) stop at nearby Chester-le-Street.
