LA Philharmonic at Tynecastle

My parents and I went to the opening event of the Edinburgh International Festival at Tynecastle tonight. The LA Philharmonic were playing music from the 'Golden Age of Hollywood' and it was great! I always enjoy hearing the Jurassic Park theme music.
Their Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel was also very entertaining with all his exaggerated facial expressions and hair bouncing around as he moved!
The concert was free, only a couple of minutes from my flat, and the sun came out, so a very enjoyable evening overall. First time I've been inside Tynecastle and I was surprised how steep and squashed the seats are!

The programme:
Korngold - March of the Merry Men from The Adventures of Robin Hood
John Williams - Shark Cage Fugue/Out to Sea from Jaws
Herrmann - Suite from Vertigo
John Williams - Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter and the Philospher’s Stone
