Broch

This morning Cyclops and CyclopsJnr cut some peat to dry out for the fire, then we headed out for the day.  We went to Lochinver to have a go in the park and have pie for lunch (CyclopsJnr chose Pork and Apple with Cider, and loved it!). 

After lunch we went to see the Broch at Clachtoll, which in spite of coming here for decades Cyclops had never visited before.  CyclopsJnr was pleased to see a house from the "even older than the olden days" (it's 2000 years old) and explore its nooks and crannies.  He fitted the door a lot better than his parents did.

We stopped at Achins book shop on the way back, and got some new books (Mr Men in Scotland, and one about Otters) and had cake (yum!).  Achins is for sale if you're looking for a home/business near Lochinver!

Later we went out fishing again - this time we caught 6 pollock, but still no mackerel!  CyclopsJnr loved it anyway.
