The gang of five

The final pic of all five - with much sadness I have decided Bess has had enough - she has been unsteady on her back legs for some time but now her front legs are failing and, although she can still walk (slowly), she cannot get up into a standing position without help. She is also becoming increasingly incontinent which distresses her. So, tomorrow we will say goodbye - the last kind act I can do for her. I got her from the rescue when she was 5 months old - she was 14 in April. A very stubborn puppy who grew into a calm, gentle and very friendly dog with fantastic eyes. She will leave a hole, as they all do - the other dogs and I will miss her. (extra - taken in January 2019)
