Deserted ..... but not for long

The No 18 bus didn't follow the usual route into Glasgow this morning owing to a very large cycling event. Many roads were closed with diversions in place.

I didn't see any of the 'big' event cyclists but Buchanan Street was certainly ready with all the barriers in place. Cycling events usually start from Glasgow Green where there is plenty of space for the cyclists and all the paraphernalia that goes with any cycling event.

I suspect that there were plenty of activities and races for the younger cyclists who weren't quite ready for the route round the Glasgow area.
