Lavender harvest

The lavender harvest is just finishing in the Darenth Valley near here, and the annual lavender festival is just drawing to a close. It has been a tough year for the farm that produces such a fragrant and beautiful crop, because of storms and wet weather that happened just as the blooms were reaching their peak. There are plenty of dried bunches still for sale though. Hope the lavender oil the farm produces is plentiful too!
