Forde Abbey - A paradise of gourds!

I couldn’t resist this wonderful greenhouse full of gourds at Forde Abbey this afternoon.
We only had a short visit but will definitely return when we have longer .
We watched the fountain from a swing seat which received a large amount of water from said fountain!
We went round a part of the house which contained some impressive embroideries and tapestries . It’s very much a family home but we didn’t have time to see it all .
There was also a meet up of lotus cars .
The kitchen gardens are so well kept that my attempt at a few runner beans seems a bit pathetic! :))
