Christmas Colour to brighten a dull January day

I made this wall hanging years ago and every year for a week or so before Christmas up until 12th night it hangs in my living room. I don't often notice her, but after a dull day back at work, watching more rain coming down through the tinted (grey) windows she seemed to be extra colourful when I got in from work . Dressed in her purple dress playing her golden trumpet she was cheering me up, and got me thinking ahead to the summer playing my trumpet ( cornet really!) wearing my purple ( Magenta really!) jacket in the bandstands of West Yorkshire and summer no longer felt quite so far away................
